Against The Sun
Against The Sun is Orange County’s premier Hard Rock/Metalcore act. With their unique blend of heavy instruments, clean yet intense vocals, and harsh honest lyrics, they create a powerful listening experience that has garnered the band a dedicated following.
After a string of singles throughout 2023 that generated over 120,000 streams, Against The Sun finishes off this year with the release of their ‘Silhouette’ EP. Balancing the ferocity of Modern Metalcore with the catchy choruses of Hard Rock and Emo, the Silhouette EP delivers adrenaline pumping riffs and beautiful melodies in equal parts. Lyrically, the Silhouette EP draws upon a wide array of influences from politics to heartbreak, culminating in a seven minute existential prog epic to close the piece.
Over the past two years of releases and local touring, Against The Sun is known for their fierce and captivating live performances. Their successes include:
◊ Their self released EP ‘Truth’s Wake’ generated over 170,000 streams
◊ Performing at Knotfest 2019, the House of Blues in Anaheim, headlining the legendary Chain Reaction, and performing with nationally touring acts such as Adema, VRSTY, and Inimical Drive
◊ Chosen as one of four finalists for Anime Los Angeles’s Battle of the Bands out of 250 applicants
◊ Coverage in New Noise Magazine, DSCVRD Magazine, Voyage LA, and Canvas Rebel
